Seventa help cater for AFCB & Chris Billam Smith's World Title Fight Night

On a balmy Summer's evening, we headed to AFC Bournemouth's Vitaly Stadium for a truly incredible night under the lights as Chris Billam Smith bought the Cruiserweight Title to Bournemouth.

Sometime's in the events industry, you get to be a part of history. This was certainly the case this past Saturday evening as we had the privilege of planning, installing and managing mobile catering units for Chris Billam Smith's World Title Fight vs Lawrence Okolie.

With Boxxer bringing a first class boxing event to the South Coast for the first time in its history, we were delighted to be contacted by AFCB to help provide catering for a passionate sell-out crowd of 15,000 supporters.

Having increased the capacity by an additional 3,000 hungry patrons, the club required high volume and mobile units to help transform the pitch side offering and alleviate the pressure on their current food and beverage kiosks. Fortunately we had the perfect solution as we collaborated with our sister company; Innovative Hire, to deliver x3 refurbished Shipping Containers including: x1 20ft Side Opening Bar Container and x2 20ft Catering Containers.

With tight restrictions on the floor plan and a limited time span, our expert team were on hand to refit, decorate and deliver the containers via Hiab lorry.

Keen to provide the perfect pitch side pop-up, we contacted the local legends at The Street Kings to cater for our food units with their delicious smashed patty burgers and fries. Producing at high volume, to a lively crowd of expectant boxing fans, we were delighted with their offering and the speed of service.

Now all that was left was to watch Chris Billam Smith bring the title home...something he did in style thanks to 3 knockout blows and a split decision win (we won't comment on the 112-112 scorecard).

Looking back on the weekend, we could not have been happier to play a part in such a landmark event for Bournemouth. A huge congratulations to AFCB, Boxxer and of course Chris on putting together such a memorable night for the South Coast...we can't wait to see what's next!
